Chronic hepatitis C

A viral disease caused by the hepatitis C virus, the most common form of post-transfusion hepatitis . 50 % of acutely infected persons developing chronic hepatitis. Chronic infection is generally mild and asymptomatic , but cirrhosis may occur.
