A monoecious climber; stem slender, more or less pubescent, leaves sub-orbicular, 5-7 lobed, pubescent or sub-glabrous flowers yellow, solitary; fruit 5-25.cm long, pendulous, fusiform, beaked, ribbed with numerous tubercles: Seeds brownish, 13-16 mm long, compressed, embedded in red pulp
