A large erect annual shrub-like herb; leaves 5-10 cm stalked; stipules 2 cm, linear, soon falling; main leaf stalk grooved, conical gland between the lowest pair of 6 leaflets, 2.5-5.0 cm long, oblong-ovate with a broad triangular tip, Obliquely round at the base; flowers 1.3 cm long, bright yellow, in nearly sessile axillary pairs; caVyx divided at the base into 5 lobes; petals 5, nearly equal; pods 20-25 cm nearly cylindrical, divided by oblique partitions, sutures broad; seeds JO-35, flattened, brown
