Description

Gymnema sylvestre R. Br.. Milky shrub of a twining habit; leaves opposite usually elliptic or ovate (1.25-2.0 x 0.5-1.25 inches), flowers small, yellow with globular apex of white stigma; root about the size of a little finger and resembling Hemidesmus root; wood tough; bark spongy and of a reddish brown colour
