Bromazepam is contraindicated in conditions like Respiratory insufficiency, Hepatic insufficiency, Sleep apnea syndrome, Hypersensitivity.

Side Effects

Bromazepam in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Psychosis .

Bromazepam is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Agitation , Ataxia, Confusion, Delusion, Dizziness, Drowsiness, Fatigue, Hallucination , Headache, Irritability, Muscle weakness, Nightmares, Numbed emotions, Reduced alertness.

Warnings / Precautions

It should be used with caution in patients with respiratory disease, muscle weakness, history of drug or alcohol abuse, marked personality disorders, in pregnancy and breast feeding, reduce the dose in elderly and debilitated patients. Avoid prolonged use and abrupt withdrawal thereafter. It should be used with extreme caution in patients with renal and hepatic impairment. It should be injected intravenously slowly, not to be mixed with other solution.It is not recommended for use in depressive disorder,psychosis.
