Indications

Silver Nitrate is primarily indicated in conditions like Bladder hemorrhage, Burn wounds, Eczema, Epidermal necrolysis, Haematuria, Hematuria, Interstitial cystitis, Nasal epistaxis, Ophthalmia neonatorum, Ophthalmia neonatorum, Pneumothorax, Rhinitis, Warts.

Silver Nitrate is also indicated for secondary conditions like Aphthous and herpetic ulcers.

Contraindications

Silver Nitrate is contraindicated in conditions like Wounds, Broken skin, Cuts, Hypersensitivity to any component of product.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Silver Nitrate are Vomiting, Convulsions , Sialorrhea, Shock, Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, Coma, Local trauma, Cataracts , Metallic taste, Pain in mouth, Diarrhea, Corneal opacification.

Silver Nitrate is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Conjunctivitis.
