Side Effects

Polythiazide in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Atherosclerosis .

Polythiazide produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Hyponatremia, Hypokalemia. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Polythiazide are Hypotension, Volume depletion, Renal failure, Hypokalemia , Hyponatremia.

Thiazide diuretics increase sensitivity to sunlight, avoid prolonged sun exposure, use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing. It should be used with caution in patients with medical history especially if have gout or diabetes, or any allergy especially to sulfa medications. Avoid any drug that increase heart rate or cause excitation like decongestants (found in cough and cold products) because it may counter-act blood pressure medicine.
