Side Effects
Meprobamate in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Convulsions , Nausea , Vomiting , Tachycardia , Fever , Thrombocytopenia , Hypotension , Angioneurotic edema, Bronchospasm , Hypotension , Bronchospasm , Agranulocytosis , Thrombocytopenic purpura , Chills , parasthesia, Tachycardia.
Meprobamate produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Porpyhria . Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.
The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Meprobamate are Coma, Shock, Vasomotor collapse, Respiratory collapse.
Meprobamate is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Ataxia, Diarrhea, Dizziness, Drowsiness, Nausea, Sedation , Skin rashes.

Meprobamate may interfere in the diagnosis of Test for Barbiturates by Frings TLC Procedure , Test for Oestriol by Brown-Kober Procedure , Test for 17-Ketogenic and 17-Ketosteroids by Zimmerman Reaction , Test for 17-OH Corticosteroids by Glenn-Nelson Method and Porter Silber Reaction .
