Side Effects

Gemeprost produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Myocardial infarction, Severe hypertension, Coronary artery spasm. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

Gemeprost is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Abdominal pain, Constipation , Diarrhea, Dyspepsia , Eczema, Fatigue, GI symptoms, Mild uterine pain, Rashes , Vaginal bleeding.

Warnings / Precautions

Gemeprost should be used with caution in patients with obstructive air way disease, cardiovascular disease, raised intraocular pressure. Avoid use in women with history of uterine surgery. Cervittis or vaginitis. Pulse and Blood pressure should be monitored.
