Enoxacin

Enoxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. They are relatively non-toxic, well tolerated broad spectrum agents. Their excellent bioavailibilty permits their use for treatment of variety of serious bacterial infections.Enoxacin is antibiotic used to treat infections of the urinary tract and sexually transmitted diseases. It's act by inhibiting DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which are essential enzymes in the reproduction of bacterial DNA.

Enoxacin is primarily indicated in conditions like Bacterial infections, GI infections, Respiratory tract infections, Skin infections, Soft tissue infections, Urethritis, UTI.
Contraindications
Enoxacin is contraindicated in conditions like Tendinitis, Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Side Effects
Enoxacin in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Hallucinations , Hallucinations , Eosinophilia , Eosinophilia , Elevated SGPT & SGOT, Seizures , Depression .
Enoxacin is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Abdominal pain, Anxiety, Arthralgia, Confusion, Depression, Diarrhea, Dizziness, Drowsiness, dyspepsia, Headache, Insomnia, Nausea and vomiting, Photosensitivity, Seizures and convulsions, Tremors.
