Troleandomycin is a prodrug of the macrolide antibacterial oleandomycin.Troleandomycin used majorly in the treatment of nose and throat infections and also in different bacterial infections.It functions similar to erythromycin but is less effective than that of erythromycin.

Troleandomycin is also indicated for secondary conditions like Obesity.

Contraindications

Troleandomycin is contraindicated in conditions like Epilepsy, Heart disease, Arteriosclerosis.

Troleandomycin in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Liver dysfunction .
