Warnings / Precautions

The human insulin analogues, insulin lispro and insulin aspart, have a faster onset of action and shorter duration of action than soluble insulin; as a result, compared to soluble insulin, fasting and preprandial blood-glucose concentration is a little higher, postprandial blood-glucose concentration is a little lower, and hypoglycaemia occurs slightly less frequently. Insulin aspart should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment (May need dose reduction).

Interference in Pathology

Insulin Aspart may interfere in the diagnosis of Monitoring of blood and urine glucose.
