Nateglinide
Nateglinide is an orally effective insulin secretagogue derived from D-phenylalanine.it stimulates insulin secretion by inhibiting ATP-sensitive potassium channels in pancreatic ß-cells. Nateglinide is apprivrd by FDA for the management of type II diabetes mellitus and is more effective when given preprandially.
