Moxisylyte is an alpha-adrenoceptor blocking agent with vasodilator activity. Moxisylyte is used in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease. Moxisylyte is also used locally in the eye to reserve the mydriasis effects followed by the administration of topical sympathomimetics.

Side Effects

Moxisylyte in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Hepatotoxicity , Hepatotoxicity , Transient ptosis.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Moxisylyte are Hypotension.

Moxisylyte is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Diarrhea, Facial flushing, Headache, Nausea, Rashes .

Warnings / Precautions

thymoxamine should be used with caution in people with diabetes or angina and in those who have had a recent heart attack (See also ALPHA BLOCKERS). Injections should not be given to men with a predisposition to prolonged erection (as in sickle-cell anaemia or leukaemia) or anatomical deformity of the penis. Thymoxamine should not be used in conjunction with other drugs for treating impotence.It should be with draum if there is no response in 2 weeks.
