Description

Ipomoea turpethum R. Br.. A large perennial twiner with milky juice and fleshy branched roots. Leaves very variable in shape. Flowers tubular-campanulate, white, in few flowered cymes, capsule globose with 4 or less, dull black, glabrous seeds1161' The root and rhizome are official in France and Spain, root and stem in Great Britain and root also in Portugal
