Pentoxifylline is a vasodilator, used in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease like intermittant claudication, Raynaud's syndrome. It may be useful in lowering blood sugar level, also reduces blood presure. Caution may be needed if given with antihypertensive or insulin as it may increase their effects

Pentoxifylline is primarily indicated in conditions like Cerebrovascular disease, Circulatory system disease, Raynaud`s phenomenon.
Pentoxifylline is also indicated for secondary conditions like Peripheral vascular disease, Venous leg ulcers.

Side Effects
The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Pentoxifylline are Bradycardia, AV block.
Pentoxifylline is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include GI distention, Headache, Nausea, Pruritus , Urticaria, Vomiting .
