Lodoxamide Tromethamine is antiallergic and used in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis. Lodoxamide Tromethamine is a mast cell stabilizer with a similar profile of activity to Cromolyn Sodium. Lodoxamide Tromethamine is prepared by chemical synthesis and not present in any combination preprartions. Lodoxamide Tromethamine is available for opthalmic administration.

Side Effects

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Lodoxamide Tromethamine are Diarrhea, Sweating , Light headedness, Sweating, Warmth sensation, Stomach distension.

Lodoxamide Tromethamine is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Blepharitis , Burning, Corneal abrasion, Discomfort , Dizziness, Dry eye, Dry nose, Excessive lacrimation, Eye Pain , Flushing, Headache, Hyperemia, Local irritation, Nausea, Stinging on application.
