Side Effects

Chloroxylenol produces potentially life-threatening effects which include CNS depression, Pneumonia . Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Chloroxylenol are Acute respiratory distress syndrome, CNS depression.

Chloroxylenol is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Skin irritation.

Warnings / Precautions

Chloroxylenol should be used with caution in patients with any allergies especially drug allergies, infections, chronic, prolonged ear infection (e.g.chronic otitis media). This medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy or lactation. Prolonged use (months) of this drug may require temporary use of supplemental corticosteroids (e.g.hydrocortisone) during severe stress (e.g.major surgery or severe injury or serious infection).
