Stanozolol is androgenic anabolic steroid. Stanozolol is used orally, to prevent hereditary angio-edema. Stanozolol is also used in the treatment of anaemia, to control breast cancer, to relieve pain in certain types of osteoporosis (bone loss) and to promote weight gain after serious infection, burns, trauma or surgery.

Indications

Stanozolol is also indicated for secondary conditions like Beheet's syndrome.

Contraindications

Stanozolol is contraindicated in conditions like Renal diseases, Prostatic cancer, Hepatic disease, Heart disease.

Side Effects

Stanozolol in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Jaundice .

Stanozolol produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Liver tumors. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

Stanozolol is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Acne, Amenorrhea, Ankle swelling, Fluid retention, Hirsutism , Muscle cramps, Tiredness , Voice disturbance.

Warnings / Precautions

Stanozolol should not be used during pregnancy or lactation. This should not be used by men with breast or prostate cancer. Due to serious adverse effects, this medication must not be used to improve athletic performance or physical appearance. It should be used with caution in patients with any pre-existing heart, liver or kidney disease, coronary artery disease, seizure disorders, diabetes or allergies.

Interference in Pathology

Stanozolol may interfere in the diagnosis of Serum Uric Acid Test .
