Propyliodone used as radiopque medium for brochographic use. When directly instilled into the bronchi resulting in well-defined bronchograms for atleast 30 min. Because of its toxicity, Propyliodone should only be used if absolutely essential.

Side Effects

Propyliodone in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Fever , Bleeding , Dysphagia , Laryngeal perichondritis , Hematoma.

Propyliodone produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Fever , Anaphylaxis , Repiratory obstruction, Cerebral embolization. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Propyliodone are Airway obstruction.
