Indications

Fenbufen is primarily indicated in conditions like Ankylosing spondylitis, Gout, Musculoskeletal disorders, Osteoarthritis, Pain, Rheumatoid arthritis.

Fenbufen is also indicated for secondary conditions like Dental surgery, Nausea and vomiting (palliative care).

Side Effects

Fenbufen in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Stevens johnson syndrome , Stevens johnson syndrome , Erythema multiforme, Erythema multiforme , upper respiratory tract infection, Upper respiratory tract infection, Nasophyringitis.

Fenbufen produces potentially life-threatening effects which include GI bleeding. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

Fenbufen is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Anuria , athralgia, Azotemia, Decrease in hematocrit, Decrease in hemoglobin, Decrease in leucocytes, Fever, Fluid retention, GI upset, Increase in eosinophils, Increase in prothrombin time, Neurological effects, Oliguria, Rashes , Skin rashes.

Warnings / Precautions

In patients with renal, cardiac, or hepatic impairment caution is required since NSAIDs may impair renal function; the dose should be kept as low as possible and renal function should be monitored. Should be used with caution in patients with peptic or intertinal ulceration.
