Indications

Semustine is primarily indicated in conditions like Brain tumors, Colorectal cancer, Lymphomas, Stomach cancer.

Contraindications

Semustine is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity.

Side Effects

Semustine in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Renal damage , Thrombocytopenia .

Semustine is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Hyperpigmentation , Nausea and vomiting.

Warnings / Precautions

Used with caution in children who are at risk of severe delayed pul;monary toxicity, reduced lung function. Blood counts should be monitored weekly. Renal and hepatic functions should be monitored periodically.

Interference in Pathology

Semustine may interfere in the diagnosis of Monitoring of renal function, Monitoring of liver enzymes.
