Side Effects

Molindone in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Convulsions , Seizures , Tremors , Extrapyramidal side effects.

Molindone produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome , Neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Molindone are Coma, Agitation, Slurred speech, Agitation.

Molindone is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Constipation , Diarrhea, Drowsiness, Dry mouth, Hypotension , Restlessness, Sedation , Vomiting , Weight gain, Weight loss.

Warnings / Precautions

Molindone may be used with caution in people with the following conditions: 1.epilepsy 2.asthma - the risk of sensitivity to sulfites is higher than normal in people with asthma 3.cardiovascular disease 4.a history of liver, thyroid or kidney problems 5.brain tumor or intestinal blockage-Molindone can interfere with the diagnosis and monitoring of these conditions. 6.difficulty urinating, enlarged prostate, glaucoma, liver disease, Parkinson's disease - taking Molindone may make these conditions worse.
