Azapropazone
Azapropazone is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Azapropazone is a weak inhibitor of cyclooxygenase, but possesses potent uricosuric activity, therefore particularly useful for the treatment of acute gout. Azapropazone is also used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis.

Side Effects
Azapropazone in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Pulmonary fibrosis , Agranulocytosis , Hepatitis , Erythema multiforme.
Azapropazone produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Coombs +ve hemolytic anemia, Autoimmune hemolysis, Acute intestinal nephritis, Non-oliguric renal failure. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.
Azapropazone is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Photosensitivity.
