Side Effects

Zotepine in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Seizures .

Zotepine produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Muscle rigidity, Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome , Akinesia, Hyperpyrexia. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Zotepine are Hypotension, Cardiac arrhythmias, Coma, Respiratory depression, Agitation, Extrapyramidal effects , Tachycardia , Convulsions , Seizures, Hypothermia, Cardiovascular collapse.

Zotepine is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Akathisia, Dizziness, Dry mouth, Dyskinesia , Extrapyramidal effects, Fatigue, Headache, Hot flushes, Orthostatic hypotension, Parkinsonism, Respiratory depression, Sedation , Tachycardia, Weight gain.
