Gallopamil is a derivative of verapamil, a calcium channel blocking drug. It decreases coronary vascular resistance and increases coronary blood flow. Gallopamil is used in myocardial infarction (MI), angina pectoris and cardiac arrhythmias.

Absorption: Gallopamil has an oral bioavailability is 45% (±45%), pre-systemic (first-pass) metabolism accounts for 40% (±40%).

Distribution: Gallopamil has a volume of distribution is 145 litre. plasma protein binding is 85 - 90 %.

Elimination: plasma half-life is 2.5 - 5.5 hr, renal excretion is < 1% unchanged.
