Side Effects

Gadodiamide in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Hypotension , Hypotension , Paresthesia, Transient elevation of serum iron & bilirulin, Localized Pain.

Gadodiamide produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Shock . Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

Gadodiamide is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Allergic reactions, Dizziness, Headache, Nausea and vomiting, Pain , Sensation of warmth, Taste disturbance.

Warnings / Precautions

The usual precaution measures for MRI examination should be taken, such as exclusion of pacemakers and ferro-magnetic implants.To enable immediate action in emergencies, the necessary medicinal products and equipment for intubation and adequate ventilation support must be immediately available. If hypersensitivity reactions occur, the administration of the contrast medium must be discontinued immediately.

Interference in Pathology

Gadodiamide may interfere in the diagnosis of May Interfere with colorimetric methods for measuring serum calcium consentunations, resulting in falsely low measurnments..
