Tularemia

A disease caused by Francisella tularensis and transmitted to humans from rodents through the bite of the deer fly, Chrysops discalis, and other blood sucking insects characterized by symptoms similar to those of undulent fever and plague, often swelling and suppuration of the lymph nodes.
