Solanum nigrum Linn.. A herbaceous or suffrutescent weed, 30-45 cm high, leaves ovate or oblong, sinuate-toothed or lobed, narrow at both ends; flowers white, in drooping umbel-like 3-8 flowered clusters; berries red., yellow or black, round; seeds discoid, smooth, yellow, minutely pitted
