Description
Hirudo medicinalis Linn. Of both aquatic and terrestrial habits, leeches are black or olive colour worms marked with six-!ongitudinal stripes. Body is elongated 2-3 inches long tapering at each end, are convex and wrinkled transversely. These are the known blood suckers when adhere any where on the body
