Description
Ziziphora tenuior Linn. An annual herb whitish-grey, small, branching from the base. Branches erect or ascending. Leaves scabrid, rigidly ciliate, narrowly lanceolate, acute. Floral leaves similar, much exceeding the flowers, Verticillasters axillary, often form along the whole length of the branch either somewhat lax spikes or dense leafy oblong or long cylindrical ones. Calyx long and thin, cylindrical. Tube of corolla thin, shortly exerted. Anthers appendiculate with a small empty loculus, rarely ex-appendiculate(24\ Seeds angular and of a darkish-brown colour.
