Description

Alpinia galanga Willd. is a herb, 6-7 ft long, is evergreen, errect, unbranched

Alpinia galanga Willd.'s Rhizomes deep orange-brown to reddish brown in color. It is aromatic. Cut pieces of the rhizome of this species are known as greater galangal.

Alpinia galanga Willd.'s Fruit 0.5 inch long. Constricted in the middle and contain 3-6 seeds.
