Side Effects

Carteolol (HCl) in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Torsades de pointes, Corneal punctate keratitis.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Carteolol (HCl) are Bradycardia, Hypotension.

Carteolol HCl should be used with caution in patients with history of heart, kidney or liver disease, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema or other lungs disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism or any drug allergies. Before having surgery, tell the doctor or dentist about taking a beta-blocker. This drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or lactation.
