Temazepam
Temazepam is oral benzodiazepine used as a hypnotic agent in the short-term management of insomnia.Temazepam is often preferable to flurazepam for insomnia, particularly in the elderly or patients with liver disease, because it has a shorter half-life and does not have active metabolites. It was approved by the FDA in 1981.

Elimination: it is metabolised via Hepatic, plasma half-life is 5.3 - 11.5 hr, renal excretion is 80 %.

Indications
Temazepam is primarily indicated in conditions like Insomnia, Nausea, vertigo, labyrinthine disorders, Premedication before surgery.
Temazepam is also indicated for secondary conditions like Surgery.
Contraindications
Temazepam is contraindicated in conditions like Pulmonary insufficiency.

Side Effects
