Side Effects

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Vilazodone are Disorientation , Lethargy, Restlessness , serotonin syndrome, Hallucinations .

Vilazodone is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Abnormal dreams, Arthralgia, decrease libido, Delayed ejaculation, Diarrhea, Dizziness, Dry mouth, Dyspepsia , Erectile dysfunction, Fatigue, Flatulence, Gastroenteritis , Insomnia, Nausea and vomiting, orgasm abnormal, Palpitation, Paresthesias, Somnolence , Tremor.

Warnings / Precautions

Scuidal ideation, worsening of Depression, scuidality in Adults, pediatrics Observe , monitor Closely for clinical Worsening, scuidality, behavioural changes. Screen Patients for bipolar Disorders, because it is not recommended in bipolar disorders. Monitor for emergence of Serotonin syndrome or NMS like sign and symptoms take cautions with mania , hypomania, monitor symptoms of withdrawal discontinue treatment in patient with hyponatremia and intervention should be instituted
