Crizotinib is an oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor which is used for the treatment of patient with locally advanced or metastatic non small cell lung cancer that has to be positive as an anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) which is a FDA approved test. The treatment with crizotinib is response rate based. Crizotinib has demonstratedconcentration dependent inhibition of ALK & c-met phosphorylation in cell based assay using tumor cell line and demonstrated antitumor activity.
