Elimination: it is metabolised via by hydrolysis to active metabolite tizoxanide, plasma half-life is 1 to 4 hours for tizoxanide, renal excretion is one third in the urine and two third in feces.

Indications
Nitazoxanide is primarily indicated in conditions like Diarrhea caused by Cryptosporidium parvum, Diarrhea caused by Giardia lamblia, HIV infection.
Contraindications
Nitazoxanide is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to the drug, Hypersensitivity to any component of product.

Side Effects
Nitazoxanide in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Allergic reactions .
