Side Effects

Doxylamine Succinate in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Convulsions , CNS depression, Blurred vision , Ventricular arrhythmia, Psychomotor impairment.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Doxylamine Succinate are Tachycardia , Seizures, Ataxia, Tremor, Excitation , Psychosis .

Doxylamine Succinate is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Drowsiness, Headache, Incoordination , Lassitude , Nausea and vomiting.

Warnings / Precautions

Doxylamine succinate should be used with caution in prostatic hypertrophy, urinary retension, glaucoma and pyloro-duodenal obstruction. It should be used with care in hepatic disease and dose reduction may be necessary in renal impairment. Caution may be required in epilepsy. Children and elderly are more susceptible to side effects.
