Perfluorochemical emulsion is indicated to prevent or diminish myocardial ischemia, as manifested by decreased ventricular wall motion and global ejection fraction, occurring during percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) in patients at high risk of ischemic complications of angioplasty.

Side Effects

Perfluorochemical Emulsion in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Hypotension , Bradycardia , Ventricular tachycardia , Ventricular fibrillation , Dyspnea.

Perfluorochemical Emulsion is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Back pain, Chills, Nausea and vomiting, Urticaria.
