Flucloxacillin is an antibiotic & is used to treat infections caused by susceptible gram Positive bacteria. It is active against Beta-lactamase producing organisms such as staphylococcus accreus. Which would otherwise be resistant to most penicillins.

Side Effects

Flucloxacillin. in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Hepatitis , Cholestatic jaundice , Cholestatic jaundice , Phlebitis, Neutropenia , Agranulocytosis , Kernectirus in neonates.

Flucloxacillin. produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Pseudomembranous colitis , Anaphylaxis , Bone marrow depression. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

The signs and symptoms that are produced after acute overdosage of Flucloxacillin. are Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Porphyria.

Flucloxacillin. is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Diarrhea, Inflammation, Nausea, Pain , Rashes .
