Side Effects

Trastuzumab in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Cardiovascular toxicity , Ventricular dysfunction, Congestive heart failure , Thromboembolic stroke.

Trastuzumab is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Anemia, Anorexia , Chills, Cough , Diarrhea, Dizziness, Dyspnea, Edema, Fever, Headache, Infection, Inflammation, Infusion reactions, 1st dose, Insomnia, Leukopenia, Nausea and vomiting, Pain , Paresthesias, Rashes .

Symptomatic heart failure History of hypertension Coronary artery disease Pregnancy CARDIOTOXICITY:Monitor cardiac function of all patients before and during treatment. Herceptin therapy should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to Trastuzumab, chinese Hamster ovary cell proteins, or any component of this product.
