Elimination: plasma half-life is 1.6 ± 0.13 hrs, renal excretion is 90%.

Indications

Gadopentetic Acid is primarily indicated in conditions like Arthrography, Correction of severe hypokalaemia, Radiological contrast agent.

Contraindications

Gadopentetic Acid is contraindicated in conditions like Renal impairment, Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Side Effects

Gadopentetic Acid in overdosage may give rise to further complications which include Convulsions , Allergy , Hypotension , Hypotension .

Gadopentetic Acid produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Renal Impairment. Careful monitoring is needed with proper medical management.

Gadopentetic Acid is known to cause more or less tolerable side effects which are usually transient. These include Agitation , Allergic reactions, Chills, Dizziness, Fever, Headache, Nausea and vomiting, Syncope , Tiredness , Vasodilation , Weakness.

Warnings / Precautions

Gadopentetic acid should be given with caution in patients with severe renal impairment, epilepsy, hypotension, history of hypersensitivity, asthma or other allergic respiratory disorder.

Interference in Pathology

Gadopentetic Acid may interfere in the diagnosis of Interfere with tests of secrum, iron or bilirubin concertration.
